Hi, I’m Nicole, a registered social worker providing online therapy for adults in Kitchener-Waterloo and across Ontario who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, infertility and overwhelming life transitions. If you’re trying to conceive, pregnant or finding your feet with a new baby, I'd love to help you through it.

Our story

Therapy offers a space to slow down

You may look like you’re holding everything together on the outside while feeling overwhelmed or exhausted inside. Maybe your thoughts won’t slow down, or past experiences keep showing up in ways you don’t fully understand. Therapy is a place to make sense of what you’re carrying and begin to feel more like yourself again. Or maybe you’ll discover a new version of yourself along the way.

I’m a mom too, and I know firsthand how much becoming a parent can change you. That’s a big part of why I started Nurtured Family Counselling, so parents have a place to talk openly about their experiences without judgment.

I support people through postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, fertility struggles, birth trauma and the identity shifts of becoming a parent. I also have extensive experience with complex and childhood trauma, where we explore how the past still shapes your relationships and sense of safety, and build practical tools to help you feel more grounded.

Our approach

Therapy built around you and your real life

Together we work to process trauma and develop practical tools to manage anxiety and depression so you can move toward greater stability, clarity and connection.

  • Customized

Your therapy plan is built around your goals, not ours. Think of it as a buffet menu of tools we can choose from together.

  • Connected

In the first few sessions, the goal is to understand you and your experiences, so your therapist can walk alongside you as things start to shift.

  • Flexible

Healing does not take place in a vacuum, but rather in the beautiful messiness of life. Our approach is a flexible framework to refer back to, not a manual that can’t be edited.
